Help with the LP black iron piping connections

So I have almost everything assembled on my brewstand. However I can not for the life of me get the LP gas line fit together like everyone else. What am I missing? Whenever I get it to the point with only one pipe left, I tighten it and the other end loosens. Due to the nature of the tee's in the configuration, there is no way to go from a start to a finish. Hence I am in a bind and cannot completely assembly it. Suggestions?

Add more Teflon tape the that last thread so it will thicken up and you won't be able to turn it as far. CHECK YOUR CONNECTIONS WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH SOAPY WATER... Don't want any leaks: (

What about using 2 pipe wrenches and only tighten the last section? I cannot really picture what you're saying though.

What you need is a pipe union. With a union your last piece of pipe turns independently of the other pipes in the line.

Was my advice bad? I had ny piping done DIY and that worked for me. I used two wrenches too... I am NOT trying to sound dick-ish. Honestly, I want to make sure that MY system is safe

Black iron union is the answer- to me its difficult to explain unless you're looking at the situation. Komocabo, your advice is fine, evidently it worked for you. Teflon gas tape/dope is necessary.

Folks please be very meticulous if you are DIY'ing gas pipe. If at all possible, find/beg/borrow a test rig and test the systems integrity with compressed air before using it for gas. Even professionally cut threads leak from time to time.

+1 to greatplainsbrewer. I worked in the LP Gas industry for a time and can tell you how important it is to use pipe dope or teflon tape when running pipe for gas purposes. ALWAYS ALWAYS put the system under pressure and use either a spray bottle with detergent or a pastry/chip brush with a soapy solution around each joint to detect even the slightest leak. Gas explosions are not pretty!

Pretty much depends on the individual pipe run; sometimes you can get away without a union, other times it's a sanity-preserver to have one...

A picture or diagram might help with a recommendation.

On rare occasions you can thread an entire assembly together and mount on your brew stand, or whatever.

More often though, you are left with pieces that have to be attached after something else is already mounted in place or there are clearance problems that prevent rotating the pipe or fitting..

The union in the answer to this problem.
