Hi all.
I'm new to the forum.
Looking for some help on identifying a bottle that my sister found in a thrift store here in Canada. It's 500 ml swing top and modern design.
I would like to find a few more, full or empty to give as gifts full of my best brew.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers! Pete D.

Nice idea, however I would have a little worry as to the bottle's ability to stand up to the pressure of your beer. Probably??? fine if used as a growler, where a lot of initial pressure is relieved when it's filled, but for bottle carbing ??? It was designed for a non carbed drink so I would give it a second thought.

Thanks Bosco,
I wondered about the pressure. I gave the mystery to my grandson. He found the answer in less than 5 minutes. Damn kids and their internet savvy.
It seems it used to contain Latvian mead. It also seems that some of the meads are carbonated. I don't bottle condition, so I'm not too worried about it failing from pressure. But it seems unlikely that I will find any more. At least on this continent.
Cheers! Pete D.

I'm so sorry Crispbrew. You must think I'm some kind of jerk, but I didn't notice your post from yesterday. You found the answer! Thanks. And it wasn't Latvian, it was Lithuanian.
Crap! Too many double IPAs. Time for bed.:smack:

Close enough... except for those who happen to be Latvians or Lithuanians, of course. :D
