HELP with mod mini fridge into ferm chamber

So I got this nifty stc-1000 gadget. Found a nice small, but not too small fridge on craigslist. Just wondering if there is any way to remove the freezer section, or is that the cooling element for the whole fridge? The temp control seems to be wired into a gadget attached to the bottom of the freezer.

This will still work for 1 batch, but I was hoping I could squeeze 2 in there at a time.

That is the evaporator. It cannot be removed. It is essential to the operation of the refrigerator.

That's what I was afraid of. Any way to design my own carboy? Say 10"w, 12"l, 24" tall? I think I could get two of those in that fridge.
