Hi. Great forum -just signed up. Wow, a lot of good info here! Hoping someone can help me with a problem.
I'm trying to convert my old freezer to a brew cooler but the thermostat needs to be replaced. I have a new one already to go in but I can't seem to get the old capillary tube temp sensor out of the freezer compartment. This tube feeds up into the freezer thru a copper tube. I tugged on it a bit and it moves about 1/4" but don't want damage something inside by reefing on it too much. Do I need to disconnect it inside the freezer somewhere (I don't see an access panel though).
Anyone replaced one of these analog thermostats before and have some hints on how to remove and replace the capillary tube?
Cheers,
Ron
