You have your sparge water in the BK gravity draining. By the time it is all in the MT, you can briefly stop sparging and use the pump to pump about 2/3 of the runoff so far into the, now empty, BK. Your HLT is now empty, continue sparging the last 1/3 into it that is still in the MLT.
