A few weeks ago I got a new dual body regulator kit from kegconnections. I had a few problems with the equipment and lost my first tank of co2 fairly quickly. I discovered what I felt were the problems and kegconnections' customer service immediately sent replacement parts + extras.

After correcting any problems I had what I felt should be an airtight system. I checked and double checked the equipment for leaks and came up empty...

But the gas keeps on leaking. For the past few hours I had the co2 entirely shut off hoping to conserve gas for when I need it. I recently turned the gas on, after pouring a cold one, and noticed the gauge has continued to fall. I've lost almost 3/4 of my tank in the past few hours despite my efforts.

Is it possible that the co2 tank itself has a leak??? Has anyone experienced anything similar? The co2 tank was purchased new. But, this is going on 3 straight fills of co2, gone to waste, and it's getting extremely frustrating.

Sorry for your troubles, Try this:

1) Fill tank and leave it shut, Spray, see if leaks.
2) Shut all valves on lines, don't connect to kegs but connect to tank, then open the closest valve to tank. Spray, and wait and see if leaks.
3) Continue to do this method, opening one valve at a time(spraying), until all valves are open, then it is time to connect to keg, connect to keg (and spray connections down) for sure you will have found the leak at this point.

Get a spray bottle and spray on fittings/connections with soapy water to see if leaks are there.

I would guess that there are missing o-rings on connectors, or kegs have bad o-rings.

Where are you keeping the tank? If in the keezer/kegerator then the gauge will read lower because the CO2 is getting colder. Otherwise follow the directions from Stuntman.

Good call SAMC, I had a few and that didn't even click on my end.

Brewfin, if your tank is in the kegerator the gauges won't be accurate (will show low as soon as CO2 starts to chill). You may have had a hardware problem on the first fill, now if tank is in the cold air of the kegerator, you might be just getting false readings.
