Help with back sweetening please

Simple here guys and gals, I have a 5 gallon fermenting for the past couple weeks, 4 gallons motts apple and one gallon pure cherry juice. I am going after a sweeter cherry flavor carbonated in 22oz. bottles with this batch so need advice. I would like to go with 5 cans of frozen cherry concentrate but have no clue where to find. Walmart and grocery stores do not have it around here in Mass. What if I used a bunch of cherry flavoring like syrup? Fire away and thx!

I don't think I've seen that. But if you can't find it in a specialty store, you might have to consider making your own cherry syrup. Or evaporating some cherry juice into a concentrate

Or you could freeze concentrate some juice. That would work too. Same process as applejack but with no alcohol content

I only have one cider under my belt and certainly tasted like it. I haven't tried to make Applejack so not sure how to freeze juice to become concentrate. I could always research or you could answer kindly lol!

Or if I bought these from amazon, how many should I get, 3-4 I assume...

there are several threads, but basically, take juice an dplace it in a plastic jug, freeze it solid, then take the cap of the jug and let it slowly drain into a container unti lall that's left in the jug is water ice.

Thanks Phug, just researched it and sounds like a lot of juice and work to get enough for my liking. I think I'll just buy the liquid concentrate and move on.
