getting towards the end of my boil, and went to wash/sanitize the fermenter, and the gasket seems to have stretched? Am I trying to put the gasket in the wrong groove?(inner groove). Any quick help would be great, thanks

Took this pic before throwing the lid on. Seemed to fit. Maybe I made a big stink about nothing. I was doubting myself as to which groove it went into.

My 60L gasket has not stretched in its 2 plus years and 20 plus batches of use. However you can buy a new one for $6 from many online HBSs.

No worries. When I first got my Spidel, I also wondered about the gasket fitting in the inner groove, since it's "there". You're picture is as it should be...
Brew on...

I do know what you mean, as my speidel lid gaskets often feel loose, but they still seem to fit fine and I haven’t had any problems once reseating them.
