So... I was trying to make a blonde ale, but I think it ended up too dark. What would you guys say I have made?? I used:

Grains:
.5lb of Amercan Crystal/Caramel 20L
.5lb of Cara Pils

Extract:
5lbs Lite Dry Malt

Hops:
.5 oz Centennial (15 minutes into boil)
.25 oz Centennial (40 minutes into boil)
.5 oz Cascade (50 minutes into boil)
.25 oz Cascade (55 minutes into boil)

Other:
Sweet Orange Peel
Coriander

Yeast:
Safale US-05.

Thanks for any help.

Looks like a blonde ale to me.
One thing to keep in mind is that the wort/beer will look much darker in the fermenter than it does in the glass.

Did you do a partial boil?
Also, I'm guessing you did a 60 minute boil. When did you add the extract?

I had a lot of trouble with extract batches being darker than I intended, especially with liquid extract. What I do nowadays usually is split the extract between the beginning of the boil and about 15 minutes from the end of the boil. Of course, this changes the hops utilization, so if the recipe is written assuming you are adding all the extract at the beginning, it will probably end up a little more bitter than originally intended unless you change the amounts a bit.

But it will definitely look lighter in the glass than it does in the fermenter, so even if it looks way too dark now, just be patient with it.
