So I went out of town for 4 days after after the brew day and when I return home I found out that the rubber stopper and airlock popped out of my fermenter. I checked the beer and it seems they're ok, just krausen on top. Maybe lesser aroma, I'm thinking of dry hopping for 7 days in the next 2 days. I don't see any sign of infection yet. Is the beer going to be ok still? What should I do.

Thanks!

No need to worry! Your beer will be fine! It popped out during high fermentation, so that means there are a boat load of active yeast cells going to work, which will kill off pretty much anything else that may try to get into your beer. There are plenty of people, myself included, that will actually leave the top off the beer while it undergoes primary fermentation. Sometimes it can have a positive effect on the beer. The chances of your beer getting infected are very low. Just relax and go about your business as normal.

Thanks man, appreciate it.

I've had that issue before and carefully scored the sides of the stopper with a serrated knife. From then on it stayed in.
