A friend gave me some Munich malt extract just wondering what kind of beer I can make with it. I have some San Diego super yeast but what kind of hops would go well with it

I always use cascade and or centennial but not sure how that would taste with Munich malt

Do you have anything else on hand? What do you have to work with? You could certainly do a smash or I would lean towards 70% pale + 30% Munich myself. You could then use some centennial for bittering.

I personally would make an IPA with that combo. A mix of maris otter, munich, and vienna makes a nice malty balance for a good IPA. I'd check over in the recipes section. The San Diego Super Yeast also has about the same flavor profile as WLP001 so you can use it for pretty much anything that calls for that.

I've been interested in doing a smash with Munich and Hallertau, and another with Munich and Tettnang. I've wondered about doing 75% Pils malt and 25% Munich, though. I *think* that's rich enough to study the Munich, although I guess it's not strictly smash.

I have roasted barley some crystal 4oL and some chocalte malt I also have uso5 on hand if that would be better...

I did a Munich/Hallertauer SMaSH that came out very tasty. It was a triple decoction malt-bomb with Munich Lager yeast -- very much a bock/doppelbock.

7lbs and I always do 5 gallon batches

You could do a smash with about 5 pounds of the Munich, should give an og og 1.045. And a lot of different hops will compliment the Munich. I lean towards liberty, hallertau, tettnang, saaz or even the English hops like fuggle, ekg, Willamette will compliment well.
