Okay so my mash tun is almost done but I had a little bit of Light LME left over that I needed to get rid of. I decided to jazz a recipe a little and so far I can't really decide what it's going to turn out like.

  • Added 8 oz. Medium Crystal Malt to 6 gallons water at 160º, steeped 30 minutes
  • Added 3.3 lbs. LLME while bringing to a boil
  • At 0 minutes: added 1 oz. Amarillo hops
  • At 20 minutes: added additional 3.3 lbs. LLME
  • At 45 minutes: added 1/2 oz. Cascade hops, 1 tsp. Irish moss, wort chiller
  • At 55 minutes: added 1/4 oz. Cascade hops
  • At 58 minutes: added 1/4 oz. Cascade hops
  • Chilled wort
  • Racked to carboy
  • Pitched 1 vial White Labs WLP008

I couldn't get an OG measurement as I broke my hydrometer (Third one! @#$%!!!) but Beertools puts it theoretically at about 1.045.

I am in no way worried and I think it might turn out pretty decent. Something like a hopped up table beer maybe? I'm just curious about what you all think this will resemble, style-wise.
