HELP! Gluten Free Please?

Hi Everyone,
A close friend was just diagnosed with celiac disease so he can't have gluten at all. I want to lift his spirits by brewing him some gluten free beer. BUT i am still a beginner. Does anyone know any cheap kits or VERY easy (or something you could talk me through step by step?)

I know that commercially, Sam Adams is his favorite beer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
