I dont belive you can. But you can make a collar and extend the door out. Thats about all i think you can do.

I am in the same position as I have a mini fridge with a freezer and Am going to convert it at some point, so I am interested in any responses. I cant really see why you couldn't just cut the plastic out ??

because in that freezer is where the coils are, and they are covered in plastic, (which is weird).

you can try to cut the plastic away from the coils, good luck with that.

I will proceed with woo_pig proposal an i will make a collar extent.
I will upload some photos with the steps when will be completed :)

Another option would be to sell that one and use the proceeds to buy a version that works. Home depot has sales on fridges that do not have a freezer, fit 2 kegs or 1 brew bucket without modification for $108.

I have found that some DIY attempts end up costing more than they are worth if your just trying for the end result. Now if you want to just have a DIY project and learn stuff at the same time...we have all been there and be sure to post photos.

Truth. sometimes it's even better just to buy the kegerator complete.

I paid nothing for my fridge, still have 170 + in hardware (not counting tank and kegs) for a 2 keg system.

So let me show you my kegerator!!
the fridge is the same as the first post....
i have add an extension with dow, wood, and some metal in order to let the magnet of the door works.
then custom made air flow system added in order to keep the beer line cold (beer line is in a copper tube, plastick tube and armafkex tube) and the beer faucet added next to the kitchen sink!!
