my bottles don't seem to be holding pressure. I think its because they don't have caps on them.
That's because I HAVE MY FIRST ALL GRAIN BIAB FERMENTING NOW! Sorry about the shouting (and deceptive title)...

Many things went wrong on brew day, but by golly I started with a bag of grain and will wind up with beer!

WTF? looks like you also have difficulty holding pressure

Pressure shmessure. It'll be fine once its in the bottle. Even better once its in my belly!

I did almost forget to toss in the yeast. Had I done that, this would have been a "My fermentation hasn't started" thread. :p

lol yep, it took me two reads to get the joke, as well. I was thinking "no bottle caps? Is this guy that big of a moron, or some kind of strange troll?"

Then I realized that there were no caps because it had just started fermenting. Heh.

moron troll? man, it's a tough crowd here!

I have about 4 gallons of edworts pale ale fermenting :) Ingredients for a SNPA clone are on the way. Heck, if nothing else I'm having fun harvesting bottles!

Nah, man... once I realized that there was a joke, I appreciated it. Up until that point, I was wondering why anyone would post about no carbing with the caps missing. :)

UPDATE: The bottles held pressure just fine after capping. :D

Although, I think I jinxed myself. These beers are taking longer to carb up than any other ber I've made (9 or 10 Mr Beer kits). This was the first time I batch primed, so it could be my fault, or perhaps in a couple more weeks they'll be just right.
On the plus side, I most definitely made beer! Is it award winning, to-die-for beer? Nah, but when it started it was just a bag of grain and one man's dream.
I'm going to try, try, try to give it another week before opening another one. I'll post back with a pic when I do.

cheers!
