Hi Guys
First posting but have been lurking for months. Brewing Partial Mash 2.5 gal BIAB and using Hop Bags. I am confused about filtering hot break while pouring from BK to Primary (3 gal BB). Ultra fine screen in funnel from LHBS plugs instantly so I have been going commando on the pour but end up with LOTS of trub in the Primary. I'm ending up with 19-20 bottles. Looking to cut down on trub. What works best for you?

A good whirlpool and cooling process will help a lot. If you do a whirlpool, you'll need to siphon the beer from the kettle. You'll end up with much clearer beer in the end also. If you don't want to do a whirlpool, then you can always buy a big stainless steel strainer and pour it through that. It will pull out most of your hot/cold break material and hops. The problem is, some of that break material is beneficial to the yeast.
 
This is the problem with smaller batches it seems like half the brew goes in waste.

I started brewing 10 gallon batches for that reason and also the supply and demand reason. Then I have also been taking the hot break and hop mess in the bottom of the brew and filtering it with a strainer and then canning it for the next yeast stater. There seemed to be too much contact for me to recycle this into a fermenter without canning it I did not want to risk infection. From what appeared to be green muck I managed to get 1.7 liters of 1.055 wort that when diluted to make 2 x 1.40 starters and a 1.020 small starter made around 2.5 liters.

I beg to differ about clearer beer, I rarely bother siphoning around the break material, dump it all into my fermenter, and after a 4 week primary and a little cold crash, my beer is quite brilliantly clear, excluding the wheat beers. I find the straining is just a lot of extra work (and a potential infection vector) that the yeast and gravity will take care of for me as the month rolls by.
 
I whirlpool from my cfc and use a stainless braid on my pickup and I am able to leave a ton of break material. The braid is in a circle around my keggle bottom, about 2 inches from the edge all around.
 
I send my cooled wort into a bucket with a paint strainer over it, I then dump it through a funnel into the carboy. This catches all the hop matter and alot of break material. I started doing this after a hoppy beer seemed to get a 'grassy' and unpleasant taste I attributed to exposure to the hop matter in the primary.

No problems with clogging from hops or the break material with that?
 
I put my hops in a pasta strainer and filter wort through that. Usually get 24x330ml bottles out of 2.5 US gallons, and sometimes depending on my siphon skills enough for an extra bomber.

I use a hop spider, so I do not have any hop material. The break material has not clogged it yet. The stainless braid is from a 48 in hose.
 
Given your batch size and setup I'd go with what was suggested above. Pour into a bucket with a paint strainer liner, then either pull the paint strainer out (Would allow you to just throw the hops in) and ferment in the bucket (hey why not...) or transfer clear beer via funnel to your BB. Though I'd think you should cool it all in the kettle, I don't like hot wort in a BB.
 
I use buckets for primary and just sanitize and fit a my nylon mesh bag into the bucket. I have my SWMBO hold it onto the bucket as I pour the wort and then just lift up the bag. Depending on how fine the bag is, just gently raise it up, squeeze any wort you want out, and dispose.

However I can see how this would not work well for carboy users.
