How is everyone today?
Just popping in to introduce myself. My username came from a mix of tiredness, uncreativeness, and things I saw around me. :D
I absolutely love beer, whiskey, rum, and scotch! I recently got into mead as well. I've wanted to get into brewing sake and beer, but unfortunately I don't have the time or space for either. I started researching mead and decided to try my hand at it! I'm looking forward to trying lots of recipes and styles.
I went a little overboard when I picked up the supplies. Bought 3 30L fermenting buckets, 3 packets of yeast (two 71b and one wpl001), hydrometer, twelve 1 liter bottles, one 5 gallon glass carboy, a whole bunch of fruit, coffee, shopping cart full of water, and 12lbs of local honey. The honey cost more than everything else combined. Did not expect that! XD
I also bought out most of the local honey I can find around here! So I have 1 batch going, and will hopefully have the next 2 batches started later this week. I am worried about my first batch though, always looking for bubbles every 2 minutes. There is about 3.5 inches of headroom, so I'm wondering if it just hasn't built up enough pressure yet to see bubbles in the airlock. It's taking all of my will power to not open the lid and look inside haha

I used 3 Fuji apples, 5 oranges, 1/4 of a lemon, few drops of vanilla extract, half a stick of cinnamon, and a clove.

I have 2lbs of coffee soaking right now waiting for me to buy honey!

Well that's it. I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for reading. I shall be posting down in the mead forums mostly!

Haha
The area is extremely small and the 3 buckets take up almost all of it! :D
Thank you TwistedGray!
