Wow what a forum, been searching for a home brew forum for awhile and stumbled upon this site and have searched it for a bit and decided that the members here bring a vast amount of value to the site.
I'm from central Missouri, USA and am a backwoods 37 yr old male that enjoys building black powder rifles, organic gardening, turning a wrench and rolling my own smokes, so the obvious next step for me is home brewing.
Looking forward to learnin the art and sharein the sudz with the neighbors.

I built my own Kentucky percussion lock from a kit with raw brass castings, etc. Came out nice. I like my TC Hawken 50 cal better though. Accurate with great balance. Double set triggers too. Lots of gun/hunting folks on here too. Being partly crippled, I can't turn as many wrenches as I did in previous decades. But I still try, also teaching my sons what I've learned, etc. Brewing beer just seems to follow along with that stuff nicely. So you came to the right place for help with your new obsession.

That's new age. I wrote a ton of code for the Vic20. It was the wonder computer of the 1980's .

Welcome!! What size batches are you going to start with? All grain or extract?

Gona start with 1 gal batches of welshs grape and hard lemonade, kinda get the hang of techniques and see what all equipment I'm gona need. Hate to throw 75 bucks down the drain on what could turn out just to be hootch from a kit. After reading through 89 pages and 40 pages respectively from the recipe section, I feel I have a good idea of what is needed but we'll see.
