Hello. I am in O'Fallon, MO and will be brewing for the first time. Anyone from around here available for the occasional questions?

Welcome! I am in St. Louis, and I just joined and started brewing. Alot of fellow St. Louisans (sp?) on the forum.

Hi Matthew and welcome! Feel free to look around here and ask away! If you haven't already, you might want to check out the sticky threads at the top of the beginning brewing forum, and read through the first two chapters of How to Brew - By John Palmer

Have fun!

I've been to O'Fallon, Illinois. I wasn't aware of an O'Fallon, Missouri. Welcome! :D

Oh yeah, DITTO on the John Palmer book. Excellent!!

I have almost finished that book and it is extremely informative. I am kind of cramming for the brew day.

Welcome from over west in KC! Im sure there are tons of people on here who you can ask questions too. Me included if I can help!
Jeremy

Also welcome from Eureka Mo.! I too am a noob, brewing for only 5 months or so. Ask any questions and if you want to share a brew day, just let me know!

Good Luck. From Ballwin, MO. Go to O'Fallon all the time.
New to brewing myself, still getting the process down but each batch getting easier.

I'm from the Cape Girardeau area so not too far from you. I'm new to brewing (lmao.. That autocorrected to breeding, glad i caught it!) as well with only two extract batches under my belt. I'm making the move to all grain and kegging next. I'm finishing up my MLT this weekend and my freezer and kegs will be here tomorrow. I'm mildly obsessed with my new hobby! :)

Never heard of it. I own Drunken Emu, hitting the shelves and a few bars in the Spring.

Edit: ahh bat creek. Heard of them, never able to get a hold of them, didn't even know they were still around.

Until the contracts are signed I don't want to be too specific, but right now for starters it is looking like a few local Bowling Green places, a gas station in St. Louis, two bars and a few stores in Hannibal, and possibly a bar in Mexico.

Between now and then I'll be brewing up a lot of beer, if you remind me in March I'll make sure a few come your way and you can shoot me some feedback.

Welcome to a fellow O'Fallon resident! I'm here too! Been thinking of going down to the Garage Brewers meet at the O'Fallon brewery.

Off topic: I saw someone say something about Machine Shed (the stout, I'm assuming). That's Bat Creek brewery. One of my coworkers knows the guy who runs that. It's decent beer - they sell it at Friar Tuck's

Ask your coworker if they are still around. I tried to contact them a handful of times, never hear from them and don't see the beer much anymore.

I would love to go too, but I travel for my job frequently and will be out of town for January's meeting. If you go, let me know what it is like.
