Hey guys. I just turned 21 and already have a few batches going. I guess I jumped on the bandwagon pretty quickly. A few of my friends are home brewers and told me of this great hobby, and in my research I stumbled on this site. You guys are excellent resource. I look forward to you all answering my noob questions, j/k... sorta

You guys rock.

Welcome!
I started when I turned 21 and I'm about to turn 22 in a week. Man, I love brewing!

I N I

Muck Fichigan, and all the rest, heh.

Thanks for the welcome.

another U of I brewer on here, that makes 3 of us! Me and the other guy are planning a brew day on friday if you want to stop by. I think he'll be using extract and I'm all grain, and as always the taps will be flowing!

While I greatly prefer your cars, I wouldn't go around trying to lower the amount of cars moving out of there. It's doing that quite nicely on it's own.

haha Yeah, wouldn't go threatening the supply of cars or the 3 plants still open might close down. But seriously its a shame whats happening up there. That area is a huge customer base. Huge impact on our company as well. Maybe if they stopped paying the machine operators 25 dollars an hour to operate a screw gun they'd make money off cars. I have no sympathy for them after seeing how those places are ran the last two years. And don't even get me started on the "skilled trades" guys. Sorry if any of you are one, but the ones I've delt with...Rediuclous!

I really don't think it has anything to do with paying their workers a good wage... because a lot of the jap wagons have opened plants over here and pay their workers the same wage.

Here is the other brew-addicted Illinois student. Yeah we will be brewing at Z987K's place on friday, I still havent made it to AG yet, so us extract brewers can whip up something! haha.

U of I alum here as well! :rockin: Too bad for the loss yesterday, but Wisconsin is a pretty tough team this year.

my friend is doing his doctorate over at U of Ill. He's in the jazz performance program, his name is Dick Kelley. He's the one that got me into brewing. I'm in Terre Haute. Ask if you need anything : ) welcome to the site!
