Welcome back to the obsession! I can't wait to start drinking, either; is it quiittin' time yet? ;)

Where is "somewhat upstate NY"? Got lots of folks around here from the general area; I'm about an hour east of Albany, there are some folks down a bit north of the city, couple others in the general Albany vacinity.

Poughquag in Dutchess county new york. It is about 35 minutes up from Westchester county..

Welcome

I used to live in the area, went to Marist College, lived in Wappingers Falls for a year after graduation while I worked in Newburgh, then moved to MA. My in-laws have a summer place in Clinton Corners, I drive out there many weekends in the summer.

I live in Wapp. Falls now off 9D. Welcome, brew neighbor!

Chillhayze I was wondering where you get your tanks filled and if there is any LHBS in the area? I just had my tanks filled over at TechAir on rt. 9 and they charged me $16.50 a tank. Is that the norm? Any info would be great..
later

Yeah I go to techair as well but those buzzards charge me $17.22 for a 5lb! Expensive but normal for the area. I called around.

As far as a LHBS, there is Party Creations up in Red Hook. It is about an hour drive and they are very overpriced. The people are nice. Franconi's, Bruce and Gloria.

I usually order from austin homebrew. The 5.99 shipping is here is 3 days.

Dude we are having a gathering up in Adams, Mass on May 6th. Check out the post in the "Gatherings" forum. You're welcome to come, brewing or not!

I grew up in Plattsburgh (AFB). Moved away some 33 years ago at age...well...I was a younger man then...

MAn I miss the mountains. I'd love to get back and see the place where I grew up and...uh..."found my manhood".

Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the invite guys I would love to learn how to AG brew.. but i just got out of surgery on Monday and can not sit in a car for more than an hour. I had to have a disc replaced in my neck and my neck fused together,, just lovely ... Very painful but I did get some nice perks to ease the pain.. :drunk: Planning on brewing while out
thanks for the info and looking forward to your next gathering...
