Been lurking on this forum for about 6 months since I began brewing and have found a ton of great info! I'm finally ready to join and hopefully participate a bit.

My brewing story: My wife a 1 gallon wheat beer all-grain brew kit for Father's day. As I was making it, I was pretty sure it would turn out terrible, but I enjoyed the process enough that I knew that one failure wouldn't deter me from trying again. Lo and behold the first batch (which only yielded about 5 beers) turned out to be quite drinkable. So I've been hooked for the past 6 months. Bought a bigger kettle and. Brewed about 4 more batches (2.5 gallons each). Each have come out quite well. So now I'm moving up another level and ready to put together a bigger kettle and brew even bigger batches.

Thanks HBT for all I've learned thus far! Hope to contribute some of that knowledge and experience back.
