Hey all,

Newbie here from Seattle. Just started brewing about a month ago, loved it, jumped right into things. I've got two of my own batches under my belt, and I've helped a more advanced friend with two of his brews. Got some rhizomes on the way, and can't wait to get things going!

A question for any Seattle-dwellers: are there local homebrew clubs that are active I should be looking at? I've been happy trolling forums and websites for answers, but it sounds fun to be more social with it. I've done some searches for clubs, but they all seem small or not accepting members.

Excited to start brewing more!

Welcome.
Check out the guys at the Cellar HBS on Greenwood near 145th ne.
They talk of a club that is one of those Yahoo meeting clubs. Good guys out there.
What part of town you in? I'm in Shoreline.

Thanks! I've been to the Cellar - good place, nice people. I've also really liked Sound Homebrew down in Georgetown (it's closer to where I work).

I live in Ballard, which is quickly becoming the nano-brewery capital of the world!

I'm in Ballard too, and with all the breweries here, I'm assuming we will get a homebrew shop opening up in our hood sometime soon as well.

I know there is a North Seattle Homebrew club on Yahoo. I've joined but haven't gone to any of the meets.
