New brewer here from the NOVA area.. Been lurking for a while and the wife got me some supplies for my first brew for Christmas. My local homebrew guy suggested a Hef extract kit so that's what the first batch is going to be. Wish me luck..

welcome and good luck! For future batches I wouldnt sugest a style other than brew the style you like to drink best, then if it is slightly off style you will still like it!

As always... beware of creep, soon you will be doing all grain and spending too much time on brewing and get in trouble with SWMBO, just reminder her how you got started
