I'm a believer in posting in an Introduction thread before posting elsewhere, so Hi.

I have been brewing on and off for about 10 years. I do all grain batches with a pretty DIY approach. (My mash tun is a rectangular cooler + Lowe's plumbing parts, ball joint, and stainless steel braid from washing machine water supply and I batch sparge. I brew outside with propane and turkey fryers. I'm disproportionately proud of the wort chiller I made by bending copper tubing and connecting it to quick-disconnect garden hose. :) )

I do lots of IPAs, which I keg in old corny kegs which sit in a custom prepared refrigerator in the garage.

I'm newly interested in Tripels and American takes on them, which means that among other things for my next batch I am going to be making invert sugar, etc..

I just keep waiting for a weekend where the max temperature is greater than 40F. Since all of our 'warm' weather seems to be coming during the week I may just have to beef up my outside lighting.

Looking forward to participating...
