Hello all,
After using this forum for a few ideas and clarification on some topics I finally joined. I grew up in wine country (Niagara, Ontario) and have always been fascinated by the science/art of brewing, and wine making. I consider myself a beer snob and a wine enthusiast. However, it took me far too long to get into producing my own product. I am a novice, who has read way more then he has brewed himself. My only real products are meads so far (2 traditionals and one ancient orange malomel), but I hope to expand to beer soon. I love wine, but I also love local and grapes just don't do the local thing so well here. Bees and fruit however, you can get those almost anywhere. Currently I have two carboys full (each 1G) and I have three empty carboys (1G, 3G, and a 5G) just waiting for the fall harvest of honey.
