Hello all! I still have not taken the dive into home brewing, but the itch is real bad! I have an empty 12 pack and 50ft of copper to make a wort chiller, that’s it. I have a good idea of what I will be purchasing, but I am still creating the Brew Lab and searching every inch of Google for info. This seems to be the best place to learn. Thanks, Homebrewtalk for having a great website and letting me be a member! I look forward to posting! :mug:

Welcome! You're well on your way to building the chiller. Now just down a few more 12 packs and you'll have somewhere to put some beer. :D

Are you from Davenport? I'll be moving to Iowa City this summer... I'm sure brewing will take over your life. It's all I think about anymore.... The only thing keeping me from brewing more beer right now is that pesky money thing.... Have fun and good luck!!

Brewing is the best!!:rockin: :rockin: :rockin: It's nice to see more people from Iowa joining up.
You will be amazed by the amount of things you will learn or hear about on this site. It truly is the best resource center. Good Luck!:mug:

Yep I’m from Davenport, right next to the Big Muddy. I have not been able to think of a whole lot else besides how to set up my upcoming brew lab and of course how to afford it. I am planning on buying most things at the local brew shop as long as they are within reason of course. And, I have my used appliance contacts tracking down an old stove, and fridge.
After hearing that my friend, (who just started brewing), almost sliced himself open with a broken glass carboy, I’m pretty sure Better Bottles are the way to go for the secondary. But until I can finish last year’s remodel projects, the BrewLab has to wait. (Wife’s Orders)
I will be sure to post before I make any major purchases. Which hopefully will be soon. Until then I just have to somehow hold out and drink my friends HomeBrew. He He

Cheers!
