Hello all,

Well after a very loooong haitus, I'm getting back into the brew.

Working on my equipment rebuild/upgrade, boil keggle top has been cut, of the 3 chest freezers, and 2 uprights, I've decided to go with the side by side for a kegerator/lagering combo, 10g home depot mash tun has me a bit concerned (i'll post about that in the proper sub-forum).

The problem with starting back up is overthinking the rebuild, but that's quite alright, relax and have a homebrew, or in my current situation a commercial brew (for now).

Hope to be brewing again in a month or less, so I'll see you around.

Welcome back to the hobby. Not sure how long you have been out of the hobby, but alot has changed in the last couple of years. Have you been to Defalcos yet? They are off Stella Link. Great store. They have almost anything that you can think of for brewing.

Yes I went to Defalco's a couple of times back in the day and didn't get a good vibe from the staff at the time, they seemed to busy bs'ing with the what I guess were the regulars to bother with me. I just got what I needed and left. This was a long while back though so I may stop by again in the near future and give 'em another go.

Went to Brew it Yourself in Spring a couple weeks ago and they were a little more open and friendly, I need to run by Texas Homebrewers in Katy and see what they have as well.

Sorry to hear about your experience with DeFalco's. Some of the staff are friendlier than others. Instead of driving out to Katy, Farmboy Brewshop is a smaller place that just opened in Garden Oaks area and the Owner is very nice and helpful.
