Really, this is your first question for a brewing forum??? ;-) HAHA J/K

Click on "My Account" at the top then select "Control Panel" from the options. From there scroll down on the left hand side and you will see a link that says "Edit Options" or something similar. Once you click on that and the page loads, you can scroll down and find the timezone options. I hope this helps and again welcome!

Grandparents used to live in Spring Hill, lots of good memories growing up (mostly of watching the mermaids at Weeki Wachee).

Welcome!

DOH, thanks for help with time zone....it worked and thanks for the welcome, guys. Looking forward to brewing a brown ale similar to my favorite from a local micro-brewery in Minnesota named Excelsior Brewing. The ale is called Bitteschlappe Brown Ale.....best brown I've ever drank :mug:

I think I'm closer to spring hill than the other folks. Where is that anyway?
Welcome!

TD

I win, I'm closest.

New to brewing and hope to learn from you guys. Thanks! Btw, how do I change time zones on the forum?

Welcome to the beer side of the internet, where everything is malty and a bit blurry.

I was just at Excelsior last week! Were you here in MN or are you somehow getting their beer in FL??

Oh, and welcome to the forum!

I spent 62 years in MN and lived about 4 miles from Excelsior. We moved to Florida last October and I can't find any decent brown ale down here. Fortunately, we've had family members bring down a few cases of Bitteschlappe while here visiting.

Did you try the brown while at the brewery? Btw, we use to go there 2-3 times a week. Can't wait to brew some good brown.

Cigar City does make a Madura Brown Ale. It's probably not the brown ale you're looking for though. It's widely distributed in this part of FL.

It all makes sense now! I have family in Excelsior, so I am there about once a month and I always try to pop into the brewery for a pint. I agree, the Bitteschlappe is a really nice brown!

Yep, I tried Madura and it just tasted flat to me. Dukes Brown Ale is ok but still not as flavorfull as Bitteschlappe. Hence....I hope to brew my own.
