Hello from dirty jerz!

Howdy from NJ! I've been big into craft beer for a while now, but I just brewed my first batch ever on Saturday with a nice setup I got from Midwest supplies and a recipe I got from a local shop...an IPA with Chinook & Fuggles hops. It's currently fermenting in my basement...keeping my fingers crossed!

Great forum, it reassured me that the weird things I was experiencing during the brewing process were normal

I'm such a noob, looking forward to learning a lot here.

Welcome to the forum. What part of Jersey? I went to high school in Ramsey, that's all the way north.

Welcome Jen, the wife (SWMBO) is from Wayne and we head up every few months to visit with her dad. There are quite a few brewers in Jersey, and lots of experience depending on where you hail from.

Haha, I'm definitely not a runner.

I live in Monmouth county...10-15 minutes from brewer's apprentice. I am finding that there are a lot of brewers in my area.

Bobby, thanks for the invite! I won't be around this week though. I try to make it up to Harvest Moon in New Brunswick when I get the chance.
