Hello everyone,

I have been lurking around the site for a few months now and am starting to get more involved with brewing. So I decided now would be a great time join!

Hi there.

My sis is a Logistics Officer there. I'm way up in Yellowknife myself.

Not a lot of options for cheap shipping, but I've found that Ontario beer kegs and Toronto brewing co are reasonable.

What do you plan to brew?

Cheers

I work on the base here as well. Lucky enough they have a small home brew store here :). So far I have made a Light American beer, Wheat beer and currently have a apple cider in the works. I'm just about to get some more kit tomorrow and pretty excited.

Lucky you! Wish there was a brew store here. When I was in Vancouver the other week, I was jealous when I walked into Dan's Homebrewing Supplies and saw people crushing grain!

Made Edwords apple cider for my wife and she really enjoys it.

What kit are you looking to buy?

The next beer I'm going to make is https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f71/blood-orange-belgian-wit-243503/index2.html

Welcome!! Do you play hockey? :D

Man yellowknife, that's a way up north.here in north dakota we think a 3 month summer is great do the mountains block most weather?
I work with pre engineered metal buildings. Had a few go to the yukon, seems like a completly different world there. Yellowknife isn,t in that region just curious. Its been dam cold here

Small world. Pretty sure I've bought, built, and hauled some of your buildings lol. And yes, it has been a long cold winter this year.

No mountains in Yellowknife, pretty flat around here. Right on Great Slave Lake. Summers are nice because we get sunshine until midnight, great for fishing.
