State College to be exact.

Bottled my first my batch and it tastes quite good for how little I knew what I was doing. My 2nd batch is about a week into its fermentation and I already am looking at recipes for my 3rd. I'm in a small apartment so I don't have room for a lot of equipment but I can already see myself upgrading once I have the space.

If the beer tastes this good in the beginning I can only imagine how it will taste in a year or so. :mug:

Good to see some PA locals around here.

I drive through State College often for my job, is there a good LHBS around there? I try to hit up as many as possible when I'm on the road.

Sadly there are no LHBS in the State College area.

The nearest one I know of is in Altoona: http://www.oakspringwinery.com/brew.htm

I can't vouch for its quality since I have never been there but it looks like they carry a decent selection.

I am guessing the market for home brewers in State College is small due to the large student population.

However, although its not a LHBS, check out Zeno's Pub in downtown State College. It is the best place for great beer in town.

Hello State College. Altoona Here. Oaks Spring is decent. It's where my wife bought my starter kit. Small selection though. I have bought small items there in a pinch. But for ingredients , I bought online.
