Hi all. My name is James. Looking forward to learning a lot here. I actually got started in brewing thanks to my 8 year old daughter (at the time), who picked out a Mr. Beer kit for me since I love beer so much. What a great gift. That thing sucked, but it spiraled from there. I started reading everything I could on home brewing. I have been making very good beer from extract with specialty grain, and have recently dove into all grain. My wife got me 2 10 gallon thermos' and I converted them into my mash tun and strike water container. I've just brewed a sierra nv pale ale and am going to be bottling it today. Ended up being about a gallon short, but we'll see if it still tastes good.

Hi Shadowfox. Sorry for the delay. Been a busy week. My daughter bought me that Mr Beer kit about 5 or 6 years ago. I've made about 20 batches of beer since then. All of them extract brewing, with a grain steep. I'm on my first batch of all grain now. Just bottled it last weekend, so another week to wait. I could probably sneak one and put it in the fridge today and try it out tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.
How about you? How long have you been doing this?
