Hello - I just wanted to say hello.
This is my first membership to a Home Brew forum.

I have started my first brew a Coopers Lager Extract with Basic kit - and its been goiung 4 days now.

Thanks

Welcome. I think you will find this is the best, and friendliest brew forum around. Lots of good advice around here that should keep you pointed in the right direction.

 Oi! Good on ya mate.

For something to do while you wait go to your local beer distributer and have them order a case of 24oz Coronas, Drink them, this will cement in your mind what beer shouldn't be, and when your done you'll have cheap bottles, and be ready to have a good homebrew delight.

Ty Jake.
Not sure what you brew - but if it was your first Coopers Homebrew how long would you keep it in the bottle for ?

I did a couple of the Coopers kits a couple of years back. I think I would look at 2 weeks in your primary fermenter, but it sort of depends on which kit you are doing. :mug:

Hi Beers Lover,
My first homebrew has been fermenting for 6 days now and has almost ceased bubbling.

I took my first 'hydro' reading this morning and it reads 1012 - so nearly there I think.

However - I have one question - I sampled a small but and it has a little bit of fizzyness - is this normal ?

Feedback greatly appreciated guys.

Cheers.

PS: Temp is 20-22ish constantly and beer smells good.
