I've got a Hoegaarden Clone in primary right now with WYeast 3944 Belgian Witbier. When it finishes I think I want to try Midwests' Hanks Hefe kit. I know it'll ferment but I want to know how the 3944 will effect the finished product. Any ideas?
TIA

In my opinion it will be another wit beer (not that that's a bad thing). A german hefe is all about the yeast and you won't get that with a wit yeast.

I can see that.
I was also considering a dunkel weizen perhaps. Dunkel Wit? Oi.

I suppose I should have asked "What can I brew next to put on this cake without doing another batch of Hoegaarden right now?"

Actually, I don't think using your Hefe ingredients there wouldn't be all that bad, but it most likely will not bring you what you are looking for in your Hefe. Wyeast lists the 3944 as being appropriate for: Dubbel, Tripel, Spice/Herb/Vegetable and (obviously) Witbier.
