Awhile back I planned on building a heatstick, but decided to go in a different direction instead. I was going to follow the plans from Cedar Creek (http://www.cedarcreeknetworks.com/heatstick.htm) so that's where my parts were sourced from. Here is a parts list with original prices.
120v, 1440 watt Heater Element- $10.99
12 gauge, 3-wire Rubber Electrical Cord - 9 ft @ $1.29/ft - $11.61
Heavy Duty 20 amp Armored 3-Prong Plug - $6.49
15" Long X 1 1/2" I. D. Chrome Plated, Brass Drain Pipe - $16.99
8" Long X 1 1/2" I. D. Plastic Drain Pipe Extension Tube - $2.99
