That's exactly what I thought at first. The GFI circuit is extremly sensitive to
any shorts to ground. That is why they are in all bathrooms and kitchens of newer homes. He used a resin to cover the electrical connections and that is why I thought it could really work. I personally am going the steam route. I suspect that a pressure cooker has the potential of about 2 sticks of dynamite in terms of collateral damage.
