Can you put a 5 gallon batch in a 6 gallon carboy? Any problems doing this?

Also if you plan to just primary can you add gelatin to the primary or do you have to secondary to add gelatin?

one, no two, no three words for you....blow off tube. That should be OK. I use 7.5 gallon bucket fermenters.

No problems. I use a 6.5 gallon carboy for my 5 gallon batches. I've never needed a blow off tube due to the ample head space.
