Monday night and against Finsfan. Down by 46. Got Ivory on the top rushing team going against the 32 ranked team against the run. Got Cutler going against the only way you can attack the jets via pass. Good matchups...... watch them give me 15 points total.

I feel your pain. Making these kinds of decisions is one of the great challenges of fantasy football. Even if someone listed as questionable does play, you still have to put thought into whether or not he'll have a good game. Someone could play but still net you 0 points.

So, this week I got burned bad by Doug Martin. They said all week he would play and then pulled him an hour before game time. I had no idea until I was getting blown out by Matt Ryan and Julio Jones.

Meanwhile, in this league, I benched Jackson because there was a lot of question around his shoulder injury and I didn't think he'd do anything for me. He ended up one of my top scoring players this week.

So, we all go through this, and it can be really challenging. But one player in one game doesn't make or break your season. There are still a lot of games ahead.

That Atlanta game was stupid. I was down by at least 23 points in all 3 HBT leagues I am in from just one of 3 key players.

Is there a brief window on Sun where teams report sidelined players where changes can still be made in fantasy lineups? Kinda like in baseball where mangers have to give their starting lineups?

Teams have to state which players are sidelined 90 minutes before the start of the game (pretty sure... might be 60). Then, it's up to the reporters to grab that info and put it out. In theory, you have as much as 90 minutes pregame to adjust your lineup. Reality gives you less time because the team has to put the info out, it has to get pushed out to through the media, NFL.com has to get a hold of it, and then the player card has to be updated. So, as much as possible, you should check your lineup 15 minutes before the game starts.

Like I said, that's no guarantee though. You should be able to catch the guy who's ruled out (unless you're away from the internet like I was), but it's still no guarantee on performance. Fantasy football will break your heart.

I love that you've never played ff but did three hbt leagues, the temptation for beer around the country is all too hard to pass, I have the same problem.
I believe nfl teams have 90minutes before kickoff to declare active and inactive players. Some secretive teams like patriots make you wait and it's always a good idea to check your lineup right before the first games start. Also if you have espn 2 they have a show called ff now on before Sunday morning games. I you watch it they will tell you who is inactive and keep you updated throughout the show. I try to watch it unless I have something else going on because it helps learn players names and who is supposed to have good games. It really helped me starting to play ff.

I dunno, man. Bye weeks hurt every one. If you could be choosy, you'd have them spaced out so you can generate enough points to win every week. But that just isn't realistic, especially in a 16 team league. At some point, you're going to lose your stars to the bye, and it's more likely than not going to cost you a W. Maybe it's better to just have all your players on a bye at once.

Is it bad that I am already trying to figure out what beer to send to the winner? I suck at this....

Hey I just noticed something, does nfl ff format reset the waiver wire each week to league standings? Other formats adjust when someone uses it, and if you saved it you keep or get higher priority based if someone above you makes a claim.

I noticed that too. Looks like it resets every week.

Stupid Larry Donnell! Eli is supposed to throw 4 picks not 4 touchdowns.

Guy is a beast! To bad I also started DeSean Jackson. I guess they still average out pretty well.

Just curious how Sproles only got me 5 points when he scored a touchdown and didn't have a turnover?

Unless the Bears lose, in which case it's a sh!tty day.

Well looks like barley bob had a sh!tty day. I on the other hand, landed my first win in this league (unless brees has a record night), and went to auburn alehouse and knee deep today!

And the Eagles decided to dump all over my fantasy team. So, not a banner day for the Bobster.
