So if we started another league, what if we do something different and up the ante on the beers we are playing for. Something like get a beer on beer advocate top 250, make a beer advocate rating requirement, maybe big beers over 10%, barrel aged, or whatever else someone can come think of. What do you guys think? We probably should consider a cost max too, that way it stays fair for everyone.

If the trades that I regularly see on this site are any indication, I suspect that the winner of this league will see a bunch of top 250/highly rated beers show up on their doorstep.

Honestly, if we get toward the end of this and it looks like I may win, I'll hold off on any craft beer purchases and drink a bunch of my stash in preparation. Even if everyone sends the minimum agreed to beer, you're still talking about recieving 15 bombers. My guess is that the winner will receive much more than that plus some great homebrews.

Well, I for one am not up for another league. Taking every one's beer is a "once a year" kind of deal for me. I just don't need to do it twice. If you want to do another league, bump this out to another thread and see if you can rustle up some players. The winner in a 16 team league is going to cash in big time, but you could do a 10 player league and still have a solid payout if all 10 are off the 250 list.

I'll also second what 6'8"Dan said. If I were to lose (completely hypothetical), I would send something great.

I also think I wouldnt be down for another league, two is enough for me haha. The winner last year got some really good stuff and only less than half sent him something. HBT members tend to be very generous and I think that will continue for the winner this year.

Apparently Terrance West didn't show enough in the preseason and will now be relegated to the role of tying Tate's shoes. Looks like I'll be a one running back team for the foreseeable future. Thanks Cleveland.

PPR simply balances a wide receivers value to that of the starting running back. A running back might get more than a dozen touches in a game, while a wide out gets far fewer. Still five touches by a wide out indicates that player is an important part of the offense, and five (or even two and a half) extra points recognizes that important contribution. If Rodgers dumps a pass off to Cobb for 0 yards to avoid a sack, that matter in the game. Thus, the fantasy team should be rewarded as well in a manner that is commensurate to the wide out's on the field value. For the wide receiver, football is not simply a game of yards.

ok -i had to google what the hell a PPR league was... we're all playing by the same rules, and it's all in good fun. IMO - if you joined to get beer from the other people in the league, you're in the wrong FF league. if you joined to mock Ryan for being a dolphins fan, then welcome home

You have four good backs; Lacy, Hillman, Bell and McCluster. Lacy will normally always have more points than he had tonight.
