So, I've noticed over the past few brews, that my siphon tubing seems to be get a little hazy, with, what I think are water spots. What's the deal? How can I avoid this? Or is it really even a problem.

If it is just mineral content I wouldn't worry. However tubing is cheap and replacing it often is a good investment in infection free beer.

It happens to all of us...sometimes it's the starsan, sometimes it's the iodophor, sometimes it's the minerals in the water, and sometimes it's the oxyclean...it's no big deal. If it bother's you, every few years replace the plastic gear.

Mine is too...I give all my tubing a good long oxyclean bath every once in a while. Usually takes care of it.
