Love the unbridled enthusiasm!

Brew on, Paw Paw!

P.S. Watch out for exploding bottles. Might want to crack those bottles open once a day or so to let off the gas.

I have used the 16-oz "stubby" aluminum bottles before a few times, and I am 50/50 on them working. One actually overflowed, but the other two didn't carb up at all while the glass bottles with standard caps from the same batch carbed up fine.

50% success isn't very good for keeping your HB carbed up. Heck, take out the one that overflowed (which is still a problem, but...) and I am only at 66% success.

I gave up trying to use them.

Thanks fellers for the idears I am going with Pastuer red from red star doing a 3 litre plastic bottle. Using 2 cups sugar 3 lemons a knob of ginger and couple tablespoons honey. found several bubblers out in daddys stash of brewing stuff. Gonna allow a week for the stuff to make then remove and taste then adjust for sweet and rebottle in same container then wait another week. Gonna do a video. Any feedback now before I proceed? Thanks in advance -PawPaw

PS my daddy never could get any results like I have done. With out this here youtube and al gores internet and Yall. Cheers! :mug:

I figure a week of fermentation and rebottle then a week of allowing fer bubbles. 2 weeks in all for ginger beer? That sound about right? Thanks in advance.

By the way I picked the blueberrys off my blueberry bushes out back and here is how I made the blueberry wine part 1:
