My american wheat beer is done fermenting and I want to dry hop it with 1 oz of some Amarillo hops.

Last time I dry hoped I added the hops naked to the secondary and racked beer on top.... this made a mess on bottling day. Hop gunk got all in my bottling bucket and in some bottles.

I was thinking of using a hop sac. My buddy used a marble to sink his hop sac to the bottom.

Any tips? should I just use a hop sac and let the hops sit on top? Or just go naked to get the most out of them.

I've never used the hop sack, but it sounds like it would work fine.

I typically just toss the pellets into the fermenter. When it's time to bottle, I take a fine mesh bag like the one here and attach it to the bottom of my autosiphon with a sanitized rubber band. I find it works best if I leave a fair amount of the bag free to hang beneath the siphon.
