Ok please somebody tell me, "Oh ya I had that same problem and it is fixed very simply by..."
I have mutiple 5lb co2 bottles, one of which never seems to get completely filled. The last two times I have taken it for a refill the person filling it cannot get any gas to go in. Today I physically watched and witnessed the person carefully and correctly spin the fill piece onto my bottle and I watched as the gas sprayed out from all angles, this after she filled another bottle for me with no problem. It was as if the bottle was already too full and this after I was completely out of co2 in that bottle. Believe me, I took the bottle off my keg-it was dead.
Here is the kicker...I swear I am not making this up...I brought the bottle home and was on the phone with my local homebrew store where I purchased the bottle. I turned the main valve to the ON position and there is gas coming out like it is full. However, the first time the fill problem happened I took it home and put it back on a keg and it only lasted about a week.
Is it posible the somehow the bottle cannot be filled more than a fraction. What gives, does anyone know the inner workings and an easy fix??? I am thinking somekind of full purge is needed but I admit I would just be guessing.
Sorry for the long post I wanted to be thorough and not leave out any details.
Thanks. Let me know if you have any ideas.
