Yeah I've seen/experienced the Randall. It just foams the $hit out of any beer poured thru it. They also run the Festina Peche thru that thing with fresh peaches in it...
 
They use Randall at the Abbey in Deland, FL about once a month. They auction off the last pint before they start serving so some lucky guy gets a 90 minute pint which has been sitting on hops for 5 hours.
 
Does it add flavor to the beer, or is it just a gimmick?
 
I bet the foam problem is one of pressure. Try it with bigger lines going from keg to hop thingy then small line from there to the tap.

I'm refering to have it from DFH, not at home. I would think if there were a way to reduce foaming, DFH would figure it out...
