One year ago toady, our old friend Sasquatch came over to my house and said "Hi." Then after that he made me brew this. He then gave me a copy of Papaian's JoHB, and the rest is shall we say, history.

I just wanted to thank all the guys and gals around here that have helped me learn so much over the last year. My liver, however, wants to see you all dead!

Thanks everyone!:rockin:

Wow... from n00b to mod (and perceived expert) in one years' time. Somehow, I thought you had been brewing a lot longer than that - I guess you project well. Congrats!

Thanks, I've read a butt-load since I started. I have also noticed that I retain a ton of info if it can help me get plastered...

WOW, over 2000 posts in a year! Do you ever work?:D

I wish I could retain as much as the rest of you folks. A.D.D. is a bitch. I know just enough to be dangerous but at least I have tons of reference material to fall back on.

I'm hit seven years last month. It took me a lot longer to get traction, but my only sources of info were Miller's book & the LHBS. I suspect if Michael hadn't been such a guzzleboy, I would have learned even slower. My brews took a jump in quality when I got Palmer's book and understood the mash process instead of just trying to follow recipes by rote.

Happy Anniversary .... I'm coming up on a year in January but I just now feel I am starting to brew good beer. I guess I'm a little slower than most. Congrats oh great one!!!!! :mug:

In the military we call people like you a "fast burner". :D
You are indeed a fast burner. I've been brewing for 11 years and my 1 year anniversary comes up in Feb. There is no way I'll have as many posts as you.
Great job!:mug:

Congratulations my northern amigo. How's the rye ale?

The rye is awesome! It's got an 'earthy' creaminess to it with spicy notes in the finish. I'm definitely going to do more rye beers, I'm totally hooked! I may add more than 20% next time, but I think it's more likely that I'll start putting rye in a bunch of different recipes to see what it does. Beauty, eh?
