I bought my parents' house last year, and they have a big, amazing Gooseberry bush. I thought I would brew a Grozet. I can't really find a recipe - do I just crush up a bunch of berries and add them to a wheat base boil? (I am an extract brewer.)

Additionally, we have a red currant bush. I hear (through this blog post and my LHBS) that red currents don't work. Anyone have any experience?

Thanks!

I was considering that, but I don't know if I should just brew with it! I have seen that description, and others that suggest it is brewed right in.

Was hoping someone had translated a recipe from a 18th century Scottish homebrewing book, or something, I guess.
