Sorry Hermit, I forgot about rb07. He had 2 bags but needed to get back with me on what brand he wanted so we are at 42 right now.

OK. That means I could probably round up another 9 bags with the folks that I know that haven't confirmed then. I'm still going to ask around for the next couple of days though.

I sent the 42 bag pallet order in tonight and will find out about adding bags to it tomorrow.

Ok I talked to them today and I am just waiting for the invoice. We can add to the order and don't have to have a 42 bag pallet, but I won't know the shipping cost until I send the new orders in.

If you're going to place an order for more than 42, I could use a bag of crystal. If not it doesn't matter.

I think logdrum's bags are in the wrong row on the spreadsheet. the total number of bags and amount look ok.....but there are no marks in his row.

Looks good to me.

The second spreadsheet is asking for an account login.

Bugman is trying to gage interest in a second pallet. I'm pretty sure that I know of at least 8 with you, but the spreadsheet isn't public. I'm waiting to hear back on another 4 bags myself from some locals.

Hey Hermit - I too am in the Ytown area (Hermitage PA area actually). I would be interested in 4-6 bags, if the pricing is good. With one barrel batches, I go through at least 2/3 of a bag of base grain with every brew.

I have been getting all my 50/55 lb. bags from the LHBS - Gregg at the Pumphouse in Struthers. I highly recommend him ( I am sure you probably already go to him seeing you are in the area.) I just give Gregg about 2 weeks notice (although he usually can get the grain in less than a week.) and pick it up at the store. His pricing is pretty good, I always thought. My last 55 lb. bag of Muntons Pearl British Pale was $50.95 out the door. The last 55 lb. MO was $62. the last Breiss 2-row was $45.

I like buying one bag at a time, as there is less $ outlay all at once, but if there is a significant savings, it would be worth it.

Are you guys able to order the other, non-grain stuff with this bulk order, too? (such as cleaners, kettle finings, sanitizers, etc?)

I'm pretty close to the limit of what I can pick up depending on what goes through. I might be able to do the 4. I'll have to check.

OK. In now. Add me for two more bags of the cm-2row

My totals including those I'm picking up for brings me up to 17, just about my limit. Let me know if this is right. Second pallet is listed below the line since it isn't a given:

rawtto
cm-2row 1
bd-mopa 1
hermit
TF-MOPA 1
TF-GPRM 1
875-E-1 1
bigtoe
cm-2row 1
respawn22
cm-2row 1
BD-MUNH 1
logdrum 3 1

Hermit - No problem, man. Maybe I can pick them up myself, if there is enough interest in a second pallet.

Hey Bugman, are you getting them delivered to your place in Butler, and if so is that where everyone will be picking them up? I am not that far from Butler - 45 mins maybe.

I am good for 4-6 anyway. Will talk to a brewing buddy to see if he's interested in some too.

You know, I don't think I have ever used any of these maltsters' grain! I have been using Breiss, Muntons, and Weyermann for the base grains, though I may have used some of their specialty grains. Guess its time to try something new!

Don't know if it matters, but on a recent tour of Great Lakes Brewery, I saw lots of pallets of Great Western malt. I do know that they get silo deliveries as well, but don't know (and didn't ask-d'oh) what maltster that is.
