Wow..any body that picked up that motueka last hop buy,,,saaz on steroids.. Boiling in a motukea kolsch...smells amazing. First chance I'm getting to experiment with it.

Delivery charges will be calculated by weight. In the past, it was amortized across the sacks of grain. This time it's per pound. So if all you ordered was non grain items you will still pay shipping charges.

So, how much do you anticipate the cost/lb being, assuming we maintain our current weight of ~10,000 lb?

we are at 182 sacks. I think it should stay open until next friday; this would be 2 weeks exactly that it stays open. Over that weekend I can update pricing where ever it needs to be updated. Then we submit payment. After all payments have been submitted I will give the order to CMC and they will process it immediately.

Remember, once the buy closes the orders will not be modified anymore. I hate to be militant about it but if you signed up and placed an order then you can't pay for it you will be bared from future buys. These buys are getting huge and people dropping out at the last second or getting buyer's remorse wreak havoc with the group buy purchasing process and delays delivery for everyone else. Sorry but this is the way it has to be.

we are at 5 pallets so far. delivery is$78 per pallet. Plus an additional $15 for hazmat charges for the chemicals; and $25 for ghoti's purchase of the website template. ($78*5)+15+25=$430.00 total. $430/10,000 lbs=$0.043/Lb delivery charge.

Perfect. Thanks for the quick response.

Btw if you need an extra set of hands for the splits, I'd be glad to help. Just let me know

I am having Ghoti double check this out because it is quite incredulous, but we are at 242 sacks. I still find that hard to believe. I'll report back later.

UPDATE

The buy will remain open until midnight 2/16/2013. Please review your order and make sure you are comfortable with everything and can afford to pay what you owe. This database has made it very easy for people to go nuts and order stuff. Starman can attest to that. :) Over the next weekend, orders will be reviewed and incomplete splits will be dropped to help clean stuff up. Pricing will also be updated wherever needed. Always refer to the catalog (link is in the database) for the latest pricing. In all honesty, even at higher prices the pricing we are getting is still pretty damn good. After this has al been reviewed and updated as necessary, we will begin collecting payments. Given the size of this group buy, I may opt to do a wire transfer instead of multiple credit card transactions. If I do wire transfer, I will add the $25 bank charge on the delivery costs. $25 spread across over 10,000 pounds is a drop in the bucket. Order away, mad brewers!

This is the first buy where delivery is spread across total pounds ordered including non grain items.

Bill, with things wrapping up would it be too much to ask you to inquire about the JD barrels. Specifically the shipping, with the grain order or after the fact to the distribution center for pick-up. The base price at 95 for a 53 gal is great, its the shipping that i am guessing will be goofy. There were at least 3 interested parties, maybe more with some more info.

Thanks
Dave
