We just need to make sure once it comes in everyone pays quickly.
So Basically I need people to tell me what to substitute for the following:
GW C-40 (1)--polboy, inverted, ryanmcl
BZ-MELN (1)--neopol
TF-OPTIC (1)--PseudoChef
11# Czech Saaz--polboy, starman, neopol, thebreweryunderground, ryanmcl, PseudoChef, wegz15
I will take BZ-Pils instead of the TF-Optic. Was starting to regret not ordering some Pils, so here's my chance.
Bill,
In #308 - I posted a few options in case others are unavailable.
Thanks
Dave
I'm fine with whatever substitutions need to be made.
starman said:if i'm reading right, it looks like we have feedback from czech saaz players (except ryanmcl) somewhat agreeable to substitution of 11# styrian goldings hu-90stg. Pseuodochef is willing to go 2#, so worst case and ryan wants out we still should be good to order. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
It's cheaper than ~4oz from b&g so i say unleash the hounds.

I'm cool with whatever on the C-40 as well. So you can probably book us for this one instead.
TF‐CRY45 Crystal Malt I
Cool, inverted, polboy?
Im not crazy about getting 2lbs of styrian golding, from what i read its very similar to willamette and i still have more than 1/2lb of this
How about getting german Tettnanger instead of Saaz? its $9.3/lb (HU‐90GTT) if its available (i think thats the closest sub for saaz), in case its not available how much longer would it take to get saaz from another warehouse as they offer?
For crystal40 im fine with any substitution available
What about you just take one pound and I'll take your other? Then we can see where we stand with ryan. I personally don't think Tetts are that close to Saaz - they really don't have that spicy characteristic that is almost trademarked to Saaz. I'm just now on a last ounce of Tett from 2-3 years ago, I think. I could do it so as to not put a halt to the group, but would be less excited about the Tett.

CM-PALE.
If we want the saaz.
